The problem
Many customers find local businesses on Google Maps. A listing with old photos, no posts and unanswered reviews looks closed, even when you are busy.
Step by step
- Check your hours, phone, website and categories are right.
- List the questions people ask before visiting: parking, prices, booking, accessibility.
- Ask the AI for four short posts for the month and short answers to those questions.
- Add fresh photos of the real place and real work.
- Reply to new reviews each week.
The prompt
Write 4 short Google Business Profile posts for {business name} in {town} for {month}.
News and offers this month: {news}
Each post under 80 words, with a clear action (call, book, visit). No hashtags.
Then write short, factual answers to these customer questions: {questions}
Replace the {highlighted} parts with your details, or fill them in with the prompt builder.
Check before you use it
- Hours and holiday times are right.
- Offers have an end date.
- Answers match your website.
Privacy
- Nothing private needed. Do not include customer names in posts.
Do’s and don’ts
Do
- Update holiday hours before every holiday.
- Add new photos every month.
- Reply to reviews with your name.
Don’t
- Stuff the business name with keywords like "Best Plumber Near Me". Google can suspend listings for it.
- Ask only happy customers for reviews.
- Copy the same post every week.
When not to use AI for this
Never post or buy fake reviews, or offer rewards for good reviews only. Google removes them and consumer law forbids it in many places.
