When it is most likely
- Specific facts it was not given: prices, dates, laws, statistics, citations.
- Niche or local topics.
- Long answers where errors hide in the middle.
Five habits
- Give it the facts. Paste your price list or policy and tell it to use only that.
- Tell it to say when it does not know. "If the answer is not in the text, say so."
- Ask for sources and open them.
- Check numbers yourself, especially totals and percentages.
- Read before you send. The person who sends it is responsible for it.
Tasks where errors matter least
Brainstorming, rewording your own text, summaries of documents you can check, first drafts you will edit.
